I harvested the first two luffas! They went from green to yellow to brown and dry.
I snipped them off the vine with shears and set to peeling and seeding them. I will never have to buy luffa seeds ever again.
Here is a cute 2 1/2′ tall toddler for scale.
There are at least a dozen luffas the size of that big one out there, and probably another dozen small ones. They still need to be cured but I’m going to do that once more luffas are dry and ready. Now to think about marketing and selling them!
