Fish week!

There was all sorts of wonder at the farmer’s market Saturday, but I wasn’t really inspired until I got to Wards and saw the wonderful choices in the fish counter! I’ve been reading about sustainable fish species lately, and even though I didn’t have the list with me I think I did pretty well.

Fried whole whiting and cheesy squash casserole. Yum!

Sunday: bacon & white sweet potato “muffins”, hamburgers on the grill, boiled rock shrimp, grilled corn on the cob

Monday: cornmeal-crusted whole fried whiting, cheesy yellow squash casserole, baked beans and zipper peas

Tuesday: mojo pork soft tacos with sour cream, guacamole, cherry tomatoes and salsa

Wednesday: roasted whole red snapper with lemon, garlic and olive oil, turkish eggplant dip with goat cheese and roasted peppers, chickpea salad with cucumbers and fresh thyme, fresh naan bread

Thursday: butternut squash, carrot and sage soup with grilled cheese sandwiches

Friday: leftovers
